Mission

The mission/goal of the Safehouse Crisis Center, Inc. is to aid in the reduction of the incidence of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Agency services include crisis intervention, emergency shelter, victim advocacy, public education and community awareness, statistical analysis, and involvement in legislative reform.

Profile

Safehouse Crisis Center, Inc provides emergency crisis intervention services andsupportive services to those fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking in 7 counties in Southeast Kansas including Montgomery county. Services include: emergency shelter, personal advocacy, hotline counseling, court/medical advocacy, information/referrals, individual counseling, action plans, safety planning, and prevention & education. Staff also provide virtual weekly support groups for vicitms and survivors of sexual assault & domestic violence. Safehouse has a licensed Therapist on staff providing individual and group therapy. All services are free & confidential.

The agency also has a Child Exchange and Visitation Center, providing a safe space for children and parents to build relationships and spend positive time together.
