Coffeyville Aviation Heritage Museum

Specific Need

Maintenance of the historic hanger that houses the museum is one of our top priorities with projects
planned for restoration of the front of the hanger to include new signage to replicate the original.
Painting of the west wall is also planned for next spring.

A display on loan from NASA is planned for the spring of 2024.  The display is no cost however there is cost foritems such as transportation and insurance.    

Mission

The mission of the Coffeyville Aviation Heritage Museum is education of the public about
the amazing history of aviation in Coffeyville.

Profile

Coffeyville Aviation Heritage Museum's  purpose is the maintenance, development and
expansion of the museum facility. The museum’s primary focus is the education of the public about
the amazing history of aviation in Coffeyville.

Recent events include programs from Wilbur Wright, Amelia Earhart and recognition of the six Tuskegee
Airmen from Montgomery County. In addition, numerous tours and educational opportunities have
been provided to various youth groups and students.

the large collection of aviation books. Improvements to the meeting room are underway and will
continue to make this not only available for our use but to provide a meeting place for the community.
