Specific Need
Coffeyville Friends of Animals continues to work on fencing issues to keep the animals in and safe. The shelter has been full for over a year, so CFA is trying to spay/neuter animals as they come to the shelter which helps get animals adopted out quicker. Any funds will be utilized to help with spay/neuter costs and fencing.Mission
The CFA is a non-profit organization working to provide dignified and humane care of the unwanted and unclaimed animals in our service area of Coffeyville, Kansas; reduce the number of unwanted and strayed animals through educational programs, and provide humane and dignified euthanasia for those not adopted within the timeframe of available resources.
Profile
The vision of the CFA is to:
- rehabilitate and re-home abandoned neglected and unwanted animals
- support owners in distress and offer a personal service to owners and animals alike
- educate the public, especially children and to eradicate ignorance about animals
- facilitate the adoption of animals into caring homes
- ensure that every animal has a caring and loving home
- actively promote sterilization programs as an animal population control measure
- have every animal identifiable by a tag and as an alternative a microchip
