Specific Need
Current and upcoming projects include replacing the roof and siding of the Old City Jail, one of our most visited attractions—especially during times when the museum and mansion are closed—creating a 24/7 destination for all ages. The roof and wood siding are in major need of repair to ensure the building remains safe and welcoming for visitors.
We are also raising funds to repair and resurface parts of the Brown Mansion driveway, addressing major potholes and uneven areas to improve accessibility and enhance the visitor experience.
Mission
Coffeyville Historical Society Inc. (CHS) owns and operates both the Brown Mansion and the Dalton Defenders Museum. CHS’s mission is to preserve and promote the rich history of Coffeyville.
Our properties welcome visitors from across the United States and around the world, with more than a dozen school tours each year from local and regional schools. Together, our facilities see an annual attendance of more than 5,000+ visitors.
